12000 BTU Ductless Air Conditioner, Heat Pump Mini Split 220V: 1 TON w/ KIT

So far, so good...

I was not sure what to expect with the cheapest mini-split that I could find, but so far, I am impressed. It took a couple of afternoons after work to get it up and running, mostly because I had to drill through a concrete block wall, but with a hole saw for stone counter tops, the deed was done. Thankfully, I had access to a vacuum pump and after getting the lineset routed, it pulled a vacuum quickly and held without difficulty. The pre-installed refrigerant charge was just right and after flipping the breaker on and hitting the power button, my downstairs living room is now a comfortable 72 degrees. The temp at the vent is a full 10 degrees colder than my central a/c heat-pump, it is quiet enough that you can't hear it running over the sound of the TV, cools a 550 square foot room easily and seems to be a solid value for the money. A+

Summit Racing Stage 1 Aluminum Intake Manifold Chevy SBC 350 383 w/ Vortec Heads

Better than expected...

I am building a limited budget engine and could not drop a bunch of money on a high dollar intake, so I hit eBay to see what I could find to fit my vortec heads. This intake seemed to be a good balance of features for the price. It looks like it is a direct copy of a more expensive Weiand Street Warrior intake, so it is probably a decent performer. I had planned on smoothing up the outside before powder-coating it, but it did not need anything other than a good cleaning. All in all, I am satisfied with the quality, finish and fit of this budget priced part from Summit.
