Failed after 2 months use

This charger failed after approximately 2 months use. The Mag-Safe connector stopped charging and developed an extremely high temperature at the connection to the computer. Had the laptop been on a combustible surface it could have caused a fire. It is marketed as an Apple OEM product, and appeared to be in good condition (external) when delivered. There is apparently an internal wiring defect.
