Short Life
I ordered 10 of these bulbs which came loose in an envelope.
This surprised me because I have only ever known them to be individually packaged, particularly as it is known that handling them can dramatically shorten their lifespan.
So it has proved to be - I have just used the last four replacing four bulbs that I changed from the same batch within the last two weeks.
I cannot help but think that these bulbs have been handled during despatch and this has effectively ruined them.
I shall not buy more from this source.

Don't Buy The Cheap Alternatives
Works straight out of the box, unlike the many cheaper alternatives available on eBay and elsewhere. Worth paying that bit extra to avoid all the hassle. The effective operation range is only described as 'broad' in the product description and audio begins to break up once you get more than 20ft away but works perfectly within that distance. Glad I've finally found one I can rely on.
