    Linux friendly
Works fine in Linux, it's just the receiver with no IR remote control or aerial. Plex works just fine with it to receive SD channels.

BT Huawei EchoLife HG612 3B FTTC VDSL NTE Fibre Modem - SAME DAY DISPATCH 1
    20 Jul, 2019
    Worked perfectly out-of-the-packet
It arrived well within the advertised time frame, inside an envelope. On opening it there was, carefully encased in bubble wrap, the modem as pictured, a power supply, and a brand new RJ11 cable in a sealed packet. The items were in rather good condition: On close inspection there are only a few light scuffs, but from a distance they are invisible. Setting up was easy: Connect the power lead, the VDSL cable (via a microfilter), and finally - using LAN port 1 - the LAN cable to the router. On the router the internet setting was switched to PPPoE, then the username and password was keyed in. On powering up, it just worked: Immediately it synchronised to the line, and the connection has been rock steady ever since.
