OEM part has a moulded collar at each end to help locking it in place. This part only has a collar at one end so other end relies only on push fit. Seems to stay in place but time will tell.

Good purchase.

I bought this to replace a Draper cordless, the batteries of which no longer hold a charge. No replacements readily available and the price for this item was much cheaper than full retail so worth a punt. DeWalt are quite commonly used by trades (i'm a DIYer) and this was (accurately) described as like new. I've only had it a few weeks and it handles the jobs well so far. The chuck is a good size and the lock makes changing bits easier. The speed / torque options are also good. The only negative is the worklight in the handle - the light hits the chuck and creates a shadow at the tip of the drill bit so a little limited. Other than that, time will tell whether it is reliable.
