truAnt By Alien Ant Farm
Although I'm no music critic I do have a love of music, which is exactly why this is a must album to own. In my opinion Alien Ant Farm are an extremely under-rated band, Their First professionally recorded studio album, Anthology, sold well unlike truAnt, which, I find hard to grasp as it is just as good, if not better then. The Album has the same up beat, fun loving, hard rock style of the previous album but features fresh sounding material with no two track sounding 'samey' or un-original. The tone of the album changes from song to song, most have an up beat sound but lyrically, deal with deeper issues. Of course everyone has their own interpretation of lyrical meanings. The diversity of sound ranges from rock out epic tracks with deep lyrical meaning like These days, sarah wynn, to more mellow alternative tracks such as, never meant, hope and even the all out typical Alien ant farm rocking sounds of drifting apart and happy vibes of glow. Dryden's voice is flawless (especially live!), as is the playing and creativity of Tye Zamora(bass), Terry Corso(guitar) and Mike Cosgrove(drums). Although all the songs are enjoyable my favourites are: Drifting Apart These Days Glow Never Meant Sarah Wynn
