Odd but Entertaining!
Think of 1970's police series and names like The Sweeny and Starsky and Hutch come to mind. Murder Most English is it in the same mould, forget car chases this more like Miss Marple and Poiret in feel, but, there is very little character development and we learn little of the private lives of tweedy Anton Rodgers and his (pre-Herriot) side kick Christopher Timothy. Enjoyable but a definate oddity - one of those DVD's that make you wonder who chooses what series is released and which aren't, but there are worse ways to spend an afternoon.

Not Quite Gaslight!
Enjoyable movie, not great, but well acted. With stylish sets and costumes which inevitably look a bit dated now. Doris Day is often underrated in drama but is certainly equal to the challenge. Rex Harrison suitability suave and John Gavin strongly dependable. Watch it - you won't be disappointed!

Probably Good for a Big Dog
Too big for my dog. (Yorkshire Terrier Cross) she cannot pick it up- some indication of which breeds it is suitable for would be helpful.
