Upgraded my 30x21mm silver Chinese loupe, this is much better.
I use this for inspecting my work when honing straight razors.
This is much better than my previous 30x21mm silver China triplet.
I can see more detail, and it is easier to understand what I am looking at.

Avoid this item for razor honing, probably 7x-10x and lacks clarity
This is probably 7x, maybe 10x.
Lens technology can be a little confusing, but 30x requires a much much smaller lens diameter.
Spend the extra money on a higher quality lens, get a Bausch & Lomb triplet, Belomo triplet, or similar.
Will not buy again.

Doesn't like to stay flat and eventually cracked
1 of 1 found this helpful I had issues with flatness retention, even in between uses this stone would not retain flatness. At month 4 of ownership, I noticed cracking even though I did not soak the stone. This stone does work really really well, I just couldn't get past the cracking or shape shifting.
