Creepy Stuff and Some Nice Scenery
Genuinely creepy stuff! More than the depredations of the "evil genius" the cave sequences really "got" me. That and the opening bus ride through the jungle, THAT may have been the most harrowing part. That and the sheer naive trust of the young tourists, you can see what's coming from way off but what are horror movies for?

A High Quality Photo Album
It's light on text but man-o-man, the pictures! Lots of pictures of the 451st bomb group in Castellucio, Italy. My dad flew B-24s in the 724th squadron of the "Fighting' 451st" who knows, maybe he's in some of the pictures? Anyway, I like the B-24, certainly more than my dad, I guess as time went by he liked it better. There is much coverage of nose art in the various combat theaters the Liberator operated in- which is all of them and also the naval libs, including the PB4Y Privateers, during and after the war. If you're a fan of Consolidated's contribution to ultimate victory, you should enjoy this excellent book.

If one picture is worth 1,000 words, this book never shuts up!
Well, it's beautiful and interesting, which is reason enough to recommend it.. The photography is reproduced beautifully, breathtakingly so for the most part. The text is authoritative as a result of being provided by the late, great Jeff Ethell, who is still missed and Warren M Bodie. This is a book one can really get lost in, covering Allied & Axis aircraft throughout the global expanse of World War II. Check it out, your eyes will be glad you did!
