Easy high Temperature Seal for a Wood Burner
Easy to use and one can work it well to get a good finish - just like ordinary silicon. Tube size is a little smaller (Capacity) than normal but does work the same in the standard gun. Not easy to find a silicon like this for a wood burning stove that requires temperatures way higher than the usual 'high' temperature sealant which only ever go up to 300 degrees.
We used a standard fire cement (dries brittal/holds shape) to seal the fire side of the seal so as to avoid direct fire gases for the silicon. Read the label!
Bit pricey but you get what you pay for I guess.
