Poor quality, but for the price-it is OK for occasional use
I purchased this product because it was cheap. You get what you pay for. In this case, the plastic knobs are of poor quality and two of them broke during initial use. Also the magnet was very brittle and broken off pieces bound it up. The broken knobs were repaired with epoxy and the magnet was disassembled lubed and put back together. The device now works well enough for occasional use. To sum it up, the base is what I expected, and if you are willing to do the type of repairs I listed and want it for only occasional use, this base will work for you.

Ordered Feb. 5th, not recieved as of Mar 16th. Broken and missing parts.
Ordered printer on Feb 5th. Received on Mar 18th. Printer did not have print cartridge(a $50 item). Cartridge lock mechanism broken. Might be able to repair using parts from old printer. I am disappointed with this purchase.

Burris Fastfire II Red Dot Reflex Sight and Cataracts
0 of 2 found this helpful I have been using a BSA red dot sight on a 38 special pistol and it has greatly enhanced my ability to hit targets at ranges of up to 75 yards. The problem is the scope type sight is heavy (8 ounces) and tall. Making the pistol/sight combo cumbersome. The Burris red dot is light and compact and appears to be a high quality. Unfortunately the red dot is evidently produced using a different method than the BSA and due to the onset of cataracts, the dot is a star that covers an 81/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper at 50 yards. So if your eyesight is normal or you just have old eyes and trouble using open sights, I highly recommend the Burris red dot sight. To me, the biggest advantage to the red dot system is the ability to get an accurate sight picture, especially at longer distances.
