worked perfect even on earlier model

I used this 2007 and up model because it was about 20 dollars cheaper than the one for the 2004. It basically just slides through a whole in the bumper and a tube from the tire carrier fits in the other end. I just slid it in the hole with a coating of 3M weatherstrip adhesive on the back of the flat part and it stuck, well like glue and you dont have to buy all the silly little retainer rings they want 13 dollars a pop x 2 for to hold it on. mine stays straight and after a quick look around town lots of other peoples are crooked and rotate. Ha. At the juntion where the jack tube and this come together I wrapped a heathy dose of electrical tape around it to keep out the mud and dirt as its under the frame of the truck anyhow. Its good for as long as I will have the truck. Save yourself some bucks and buy this piece only and it can work for earlier years to with a little Mcgiver skills.

Not cheapo plastic.

Nice quality for the price and works great It will pull any glue stick I have found loose no problems. Just wish they made one that spanned a longer dented area. Great product.
