Best bass for the bucks
2 of 2 found this helpful I have owned bass guitars since 1973. I must have had 15 or 16 different ones through the years. I got my first Ibanez in 2001 and was impressed. I paid $600 for it (including a case).
Ten years later, I bought my GSR200 for around $200 brand new. This one played just as smoothly as the $600 dollar one. In fact, it became my main bass in 2011. It's priced for beginners, but the versatile tone of the P and J style pickups, the added bottom of the Phat ll circuit, the sleek design of it's neck, the comfortable fretboard action, the finnish and the light body weight all made me very happy, even as a veteran player who's used many much more expensive basses through the years. I would recommend this to anyone who plays.
