Great item, but is difficult to fit as the chrome adds microns to the surface of the switch itself. Also this makes the pivot hole and the serrated location opening noticeable smaller. Removing some of the inner surface helps with fitting, but can weaken the pivoting area. As they are chrome coated the covers should not be heated as the coating can blister....

Releases the potential.

This was a really good find, new old stock, very expensive items when first offered by Vance&Hines. Slip-on mufflers well made and a great addition to the bike. They make it possible to release the potential of the engine, improve the looks and performance without the cost of a full system. Build quality very high as with all V&H exhausts. Though this part is no longer available from the company, old stock will turn up in warehouse clearances, and as discounted stock in dealerships and closing down sales. The pipes are every bit as useful as the day they were made, and will compliment the looks of a late noughties bike.
