Maigret as I like him
I do like Atkinson's take on the Maigret character - it matches my own impression of this book character well. Like all Maigret stories, both these films show our human frailties and the misery we bestow on each other, but in the end there is some redemption. Maigret himself is also a man of compassion. While these film versions pad out the original stories, they don't seem to be OTT, and keep to the original plot reasonably well.

Vintage Danny Kaye
Danny Kaye at his best. You either like his style or you don't - I do, despite its dated-ness. The story is full of impossibilities, with add to the video's charm. Good, family-style entertainment.

A better Lara Croft
This is a more realistic Lara Croft than the original series staring Angelina Jolie. It shows better script writing, and character realization.
