Good buy
Existing cap needed replaced. This genuine replacement was cheaper than some copies. Been using it for a couple of weeks and no sign of any leakage.

It Worked For Me
Managed to take 32mm off of each side of a 2.2m drop 25mm slat blind easily
Fortunately I didn't need to take less off as has been explained in another review the circular washer holding the spring on the underside is too big to slide along the base to allow a smaller cut of the slats without modifications
Didn't take the chance of cutting more than one slat at a time but when all cut it looked as if the blinds had been delivered the correct size
