And for the price - I’d sooner have this than my iPhone or Samsung. An extremely capable phone. And comes with full Google Play Store etc, unlike Huawei

FTX Vantage RC Buggy - superb!

- For the platform you're buying - it's brilliant value.
- Comes in either brushed or brushless versions, I went for the brushed motor version as I
already had spare electrics to replace within the car.
- Electrics are easily interchangeable to a brushless system in order to release this buggy's true
potential. Rather than choosing to buy a more expensive recognised "racing brand name", I
opted for this at a budget level, and have found that by adding a brushless system has made it
as competitive as the expensive brand names (they're only as good as the driver at the end of
the day).
- With the addition of some optional FTX aluminium parts really raises the bar for this buggy.
- Pricing is spot on.
- Quality of parts is spot on, it's tough and withstands the pressures of racing.
- Parts are realistically priced and widely available, not only from FTX but also VRX Racing
adopt the same parts too for their buggy.
- I also haven't used the stock controller, simply installed my own radio gear, very simple to do.
- Buggy is fully ball-raced - even the steering.
- It's a very stable buggy, and looks great.
- 12mm hex hubs give thousands of wheel options too.
Bad points: I'm really struggling to think of any if I'm honest... It's not really a bad point, more of an option, but if you're looking to begin racing at club level with this buggy or using at your own leisure then you'll be best to consider changing the steering servo. Stock servo works fine at 3kg, and is waterproof, but would no doubt give way after being subjected to several races, it's not the quickest from lock-to-lock and might struggle holding full lock at high speeds on a corner when racing or bashing . So it's worth going for a higher torque/speed servo.
All in all this is a superb RC buggy, worth every penny. It's strong, capable, and easily upgraded. When working on RC's they're a great way to learn and appreciate simple mechanics. I'd recommend this buggy!

Worth every penny!
Seemless gear changes, surprisingly smooth. Easy to install, the only battle are removing the fairings.
