DGM ETV-2272WH 22" Mixed feelings

I bought this TV as a bedroom set. I wanted a slim, economical freeview TV with a PVR funtion. The ETV-2272 22" seemed to fit the bill. It's certainly slim and the power consumption is low. The PVR funtion does do what I want (chase recording and scheduled recording) but is not very user friendly. (the chase recording has to be restarted if I turn the TV off and mainly due to the poor programme guide, setting up a scheduled recording is fiddly). I use a USB stick as the recording media - quite handy. The sound is disappointing - but then I think most of these slim sets are similar. The connectivity is very good with many different connectors supported. Another possible drawback is the poor viewing angle of this TV. Its fine for us in the bedroom but would maybe a problem in a different situation. The picture itself it fine and generally looks good. I haven't tried replaying any material from a USB disk yet, but that clearly is another good feature. In conclusion I am reasonably happy with my purchase but some of the drawbacks could be a problem for some people

Useful little device

This device is really useful. I am using it in 'client' mode to pick up wifi and turn it into wired ethernet for a set top box that has no inbuilt internet (youview box).The power come from the usb socket on the set top box. It is a much better solution than ethernet connection via those (much more expensive) powerline adapters. It can of course be used in the other advertised modes and I did play with a couple of them (bridge and repeater) and it worked very well in those as well. A little bit tricky to set up at first time but lots of help available on the internet.

Very neat unit that works well

Very neat wifi controlled mains plug. Works well with Amazon Echo - very easy to set up. Nice feature is a USB power socket - in my case ideal for powering my Echo. Possible downside is that it defaults to ON after a power cut - could be a problem in some circumstances.
