Fixed the white dots problem in my Mitsubishi WD-65C9 TV
1 of 1 found this helpful This was an exact replacement for the DLP chip in my TV. Replacement steps were not difficult, but be advised you will be removing and partly disassembling the guts of your TV. Some slight adjustment of the TV using the service menus to realign the picture was required after reassembly.
I followed the steps in a YouTube video, which were near perfect. Search YouTube for bGg_P1PqCYo. Note that this product included a new piece of thermal tape to sit between the chip and the heat sink, so I did not have to re-use the existing tape as mentioned in the video. The video also showed how to access the service menus to adjust the picture.
