Cookology LINT1001BK Black Linear Extractor 100cm Chimney Cooker Hood & Duct
I am really pleased with this hood. It looks great, the light is good and lights up our 100cm cooker well and also some of the bench to the side which is useful for chopping veg :) The extraction works well and we mainly just use setting number 1 as this is enough to extract all smells, steam etc to outside. I have used setting 2 a couple of times and doubt I will ever use number 3 but you never know. Setting 1 is not too noisy and you can easily listen to music while cooking. All extraction hoods are noisy anyway, even the really expensive ones can knock out over 55db and this one is a lot cheaper.
Installation was fairly straight forward and an easy DIY job once I had figured out which bracket went where (the instructions included were not very good so it took a bit of working out). You do not need an electrician to install as it comes with a fitted plug but you will need an extension lead as the cable is not very long. My only criticism with the installation is that the outlet port is a little wide so fitting the flexible pipe to extract to outside was difficult. The port is the same width as the pipe so I could only just get the rim of the pipe onto the edge of it then had to prise it on further by working around the rim pushing down with a flat bladed screwdriver taking care not to rip the aluminium. I managed it eventually but if the port had been a couple of millimeters narrower it would have been a much easier job. Anyway, that aside, I love the hood, I would recommend it and I will definately buy another one should I ever need to.
I can also say I am very pleased with The Wright Buy as a dealer as delivery was very quick and there were no issues at all. I would buy from them again.
