Disappointing condition compared to the description.
The spine was in such a poor condition that there is no way the book could be described as "like new", (as it was in the advert). At best, it was "good".
Looking at the spine from above, it has a pronounced curve. Avid novel readers will recognise this as the curve that comes from bending the pages right round to hold them against the back of the book, as you read. The spine also has several creases that come from this treatment.
I imagine the story content is great, as with other novels by this other.

Questioning Race
The content is rooted in reality, the way thiings actually are. Thankfully it questions things in terms of the experience of real people and not the way we are pressured to think.
