Enchanting - Hauntingly Beautiful - Romantic -
I first heard this as background music on a multi-disc set examining religions of the world. I was so intrigued by the music I started to search for it everywhere. I originally purchased Stor Amhran from another online retailer only that CD skipped badly. So I listened to only the first 3 tracts for a few years. Having rediscovered it I started to look on eBay for a replacement. In my opinion this is Noirin Ni Riain's best CD. The music is extraordinarily beautiful. It has an enchanting quality that is spiritually soothing. Think Gregorian Chants but sung by an angel instead of a group of monks. Stor Amhran is relaxing as well as rejuvenationg .... inspiring as well as calming. And it is marvelously romantic music.

FRANK FRAZETTA, the artist, the boy, the man!
2 of 2 found this helpful I love Frazetta's artwork for how it makes me "feel" ... His artwork is always about the power of what you see. His men are muscular, his women are voluptuous and the animals are powerful and menacing. This documentary reveals Frank's childhood artistic gifts as well as his prodigious accomplishments in everything he undertook. He is profoundly gifted artist who could have played professional baseball, but chose art instead. He could have been a well paid Disney animator, but chose to be his own man. This film gives us a little history of how Frank Frazetta became FRANK FRAZETTA, the artist who has many imitators but few equals. It makes a compelling case for naming Frazetta as the most influential artist of the last 70 years. His transformation from comics illustrator to oil paint master is conveyed through interviews with contemporary artists and illustrators and comics history experts. The only disappointment I have is the second disc which I thought would include many more images of Frank's artwork. Considering the volume of Frazetta's work in comics, magazines, film, and oil painting there could have been thousands of still images - a timeline of his work would have been exhilarating. This DVD set is well worth owning and I have given several sets as gifts, especially to people who may not have heard of my favorite artist, Frank Frazetta.
