If you can measure it you can control it. That what these monitor and every other PA series via NEC amounts to. Thanks to the sharing economy I can afford one. After using several this PA242w and other PA series information displays their implementation of PMMA/active matrix has earned my trust and has pleased the ocular organ many day/night cycles. The interface itself stands out via the ability to adjust information displays brightness in candelas the base unit of luminous intensity in the International System of Units and the white energy balance via chromaticity coordinates (although I don't know what observer was used for the color matching function to produced such coordinates ). With other monitors you have to choose red green blue from 0-100! which red green blue is unknown, etc. There is almost no advertisments for these information displays but they damn near perfect as far as IPS can go, but they are mass produced so there are some shortcuts. Other than that I really hope there will be a PA series oled. Of course oleds have there own metameric issues

Need root access
1 of 3 found this helpful the device was described as excellent condition used. Accurate enough. Waiting on the bootloop issue to surface I'm not optimistic at all. Has a wondeful euphonic performance thats why i purchased this device for the audio quality. When it bootloops the v20 will be next. Other than that it is a plethora of reviews at divers sites. I really wish LG would give the consumer the option to root the OS or make it really easy to do so. Nothing like having partial control of a device that you trust so much info to.
