Open box = used
4 of 4 found this helpful We have many Ring sensors - these were the first 2nd Gen type. They we purchased used (open box). Someone had tried to install them and as a result had taken off the coverings for the sticky sides, which were unusable. Fortunately I was able to use them in a place where screws worked well. The sesnors worked fine after I replaced one of the batteries.
