1 of 1 found this helpful First, you need to like the bottles of the boss katana. If that’s the case, you will like this little lamp. Great Bluetooth connectivity, the ability to stream drum tracks, and the ease of operation of the app for the AmpKit self make it super easy to use. Phone is good volume can get way past what you need it to be for this style Amp, and it’s just a lot of fun.
It’s just a little big to fit in a suitcase unless you pack conservatively. If you do, this is great to take on the road with the travel with guitar and use as your Bluetooth speaker your Bluetooth phone, or your white noise machine at night, in addition to being a great little practice amp. I have had several occasions where I have been playing and have had people ask me to come over and sit with them outside to entertain them with the drum tracks and the guitar. Great way to meet people on the road.
The lack of a rechargeable battery Is the only thing that keeps us from getting a five star rating

If value and tone are both important
5stars because of the value. I use a lot of pickups from this seller. They always sound full and bright, not compressed and muddy. Even the higher output sets. This st reminds me of the SD JB/JAZZ set I've had before that costs eight times as much. They will break up a front end of the amp but clean up super well.

4 channels, crushing amounts of gain, but not a crushing weight

It's easy to use and, especially if you like heavy tones, super easy to dial in s sound you'll love. Unlike so many of the modeling amps out there, you won't be chasing someone else's tone, you'll be creating your own sound.
