Magnificent
When first broadcast in the 70's and 80's these 2 series were nominated and awarded a hatful of BAFTAs.
Deservedly so.....the storylines follow almost exactly the twists and turns of le Carre's books and no expense seems to have been spared in locations, detail and cast.
Needless to say Alec Guinness is masterful, but watch out for Beryl Reid as well,
Can't praise this enough....if you enjoyed the 2011 film with Gary Oldman this will knock your socks off.

Doesn't stretch
It looks great....if you want to look all 007ish this is for you. Unfortunately it is too springy and doesn't stretch as much as I'd hoped. I bought it to replace a cable that had lasted over 18 months. This one lasted less than 2 months because it kept too much tension on the jack plugs and caused the coating to weaken and break exposing the wires inside.
Honestly....get a straight cable.
Unless you want to look like a MI6 spook.
