A well build direct replacement part
1 of 1 found this helpful Unlike many 'universal' replacement products, this one actually does fit the cars it claims to. I personally fitted it to a E12 Toyota Corolla, and it really is a direct replacement. Cable size and housing is spot on, with a good tight connection. Ground point is also the correct size and fits the M8 bolt that Toyota uses perfectly too. The horn is slightly louder than a genuine part and slightly higher pitch.

Better than OE spec, excellent quality, 4 year warranty.
Meyle are a well reputed company, acting as OE suppliers to a lot of manufacturers and their Heavy Duty (HD) line exceeds the OE specifications. As such these products are very well made and typically out-perform the OE equipment.
Regarding this particular control arm, it is significantly 'beefier' than standard, being stronger and made from better materials to boot meaning it also weighs approximately the same as standard. The quality of the boots on the balljoint is also superior, being a better grade of rubber that feels much more durable to the touch. The rubber bushing that mount to the subframe are also stiffer and slightly larger.
Since fitting the part I've noticed that the steering feels tighter and more responsive, in part thanks to the balljoint better stabilising the wheel at speed which helps reduce steering wobble and give greater confidence. The car is also much less susceptible to bump steer, and when it does occur it is less severe.
The four year warranty offered as standard on Meyle HD products also instills great confidence in longevity.

Works well, but doesn't generate the thickest foam
Product does generate reasonable foam, but the angle control is minimal and it doesn't generate especially thick foam as a result. Much cheaper than the other options though, so good value for money.
