SHIFT CABLE Shimano PPS Positron with Outer Shell 1700 mm for Rear derailleur

Poor manufacturing tolerances

This is a gear change cable for a late 1970s bike. Everything was there, but the inner cable was slightly thinner than the original and the bore of the outer shell was too big. As a result the gear change, which relies on both push and pull action, is very sloppy and I can only engage 4 of the 5 gears. I assume it's a re-manufactured item and the manufacturers did not really understand how it would be used. It will have to do for now.

Cost-effective alternative to a dual-mass flywheel

Bought this as a low-cost alternative to a dual-mass flywheel for my 20-year-old Golf 1.9 TDI. My local garage fitted it and said how nice it was that everything was included in the kit - bolts, etc. They had no problems fitting. Good to have the car back on the road.
