Prep it right , paint it once , walk away
This paint is sold as having anti scratch properties and it certainly is that durable , while being as easy to apply as any other 2K spray paint .
The viscosity and depth of colour are very good and I resprayed a 21' yacht hull using just a 1.3mm needle / cap set up on an LVLP Sata spray gun running from an airless 1800w compressor with a 50 litre tank .
The build up was great and the flow rate was good enough for a gun finish , however , remember it's anti scratch properties when you prep !
I did have to flat and polish a section where another yachtsman got too close with silicon polish !
Wow it took some refinishing , but that is testament to the hold up qualities of being an anti scratch , or less likely to scratch paint system.
So far the shine has stayed up on the areas I had to refinish , though it wasn't possible to match the side with the gun finish so as with every spray painting project , prep work and working environment really do need considering more carefully as refinishing is less forgiving .
Would I buy this again ?
I already have , and will do again for my 32' yacht in a few weeks.
The customer service was great , I emailed for help after someone caught the paintwork with a boat trailer whilst in the boat yard Hopi g for a smaller quantity to just mix and brush on then refinish.
They replied within hours and offered to speak with the manager about it so I can't fault the company or the product .
Best wishes

Excellent choice in a confusing market
Having considered an electric windlass for the past three years it was time this year to bite the bullet.
Of the sub £1000 units on sale , I chose the Lewmar Pro Series 1000 because my motor sailor is only 28' long BUT being a motor sailor , it has a lot of windage and air draft pushing her ( in the name of safety ) into the post 30' yacht category.
Running 8mm chain , calibrated so as to not damage the chain wheel ( gypsy ) with non standardised chain sizes , my yacht battery was the next consideration.
I have 2 X 220ah leisure ( house ) batteries , giving me 440ah at 12 volts .
The best way to treat your batteries is to assume a safe working limit of never dropping voltage below 70% from fully charged according to everything I've researched.
This actually gives me not very much scope , but the Pro Series 1000 is rated at only 50amps , or more to the point , the recovery speed of roughly 28 metres per minute , means I can pull up 40 metres of 8mm chain in less than 2 minutes !
Using 50amps for only 2 minutes is not going to drain my house batteries and with the inboard engine running bit on neutral just in case anyway , I have the batteries charging whilst recovering the anchor from the alternator .
Confused yet ?
I certainly was looking at the specifications of the other windlass models on offer , but the real terms are the small battery bank of my yacht wouldn't be a limitation for this windlass , whilst the simple installation made it child's play because everything you need to anchor is included in the kit !
The only things I had to buy were cables to run from the components to each other then back to my starter battery , and the remote control I wanted out of preference .
There is a rocker switch included that can be dashboard mounted if you choose , but I like to see what's happened myself and a wired remote unlike a wireless one cannot be so easily dropped overboard .
The quality of the windlass is superb !
Truly , the weight of all the components is reassuring because longevity in a salt air / sea splashed environment is often compromised , but with a 5 year warranty from Lewmar on both the Pro Series which I bought , and the more expensive Pro Fish 1000 models is generous enough that , if after 5 years of trouble free anchoring and recovering I'll be a happy man.
Incidentally , the anchor can be allowed to drop in free fall mode simply by untightening the clutch control wheel , so you really don't need electric other than to retrieve the anchor and chain further extending your battery life !
One of the key features for me was the manual over ride function if needed .
A square drive is cast into the drum , so either using the supplied multi tool in the kit , or a standard 1/2" drive ratchet can be used to winch the anchor back aboard .
All this in a quality stainless steel construction just cannot be more reassuring for either an upgrade or first time buyer like me .
Trying to compare other makes , I found the power consumption fantastic .
The quality of finish is admirable , and the price really is great for such a fantastic piece of equipment .
Buy in peace of mind , I've not a single regret .
Yours faithfully
Mark
If it helps , my yacht is a 1979 Fjord 28CS Motor Sailor , with a displacement of 4600kg and my anchor is a Delta 10kg with 70kg of 8mm chain.
It comes up very smoothly and quickly and never feels over more than half loaded at best with even force 6 conditions.

Rare new parts at amazing price !
I’ve needed a replacement rear brake disc for my 1992 Suzuki GSX400 SSN Katana for three years and never imagined a new one for the cost of a second hand one more worn than what I have already on the bike.
Being Japan home market only bikes , the 400 SSN is imported to various countries as private imports over the following decades and much controversy lies around d exactly what parts fit which model in the 400cc class .
This is definitely the right fit for the Katana , but for those wondering , also the GSF400 Bandit as I’ve had bandit wheels in at one point and the old rear brake disc fitted both .
I hope this helps others .
The disc is stamped with the legal UK requirement of disc thickness for the MOT where 5.5mm has to be observed to prevent the risk of warpage though overheating , so don’t mistake it for an inferior product just because the cost is so low .
I’d highly recommend this product .
