If you can find a pair of these, don't hesitate to get them.
I remember hearing about these back in the early 2000's, but they were quickly forgotten as they seemed to vanish as fast as they arrived on the audio scene. It seems that they were not taken too seriously by the audio community due to the fact that they're a Sony product. A company that's not known for high end speakers.. Actually, Sony got it right with these. First off, outstanding build quality. These speakers are like rocks! Wrap on any part of the cabinet with your knuckles and you'll see what I mean. No hollow thud anywhere. There is heavy internal bracing behind each of the woofers and the mid and tweeter are separated from the woofers in their own compartment. However, I was not impressed upon first listening.. But, after being patient and thought that I'd just let them play and run in for a while, that's when I began to notice them shine. Paired up with quality amplifiers, cables, blu-ray, CD player, etc, they're nothing short of amazing. Very sweet top end that's grain free, natural mids, especially with both male and female vocals, that are frighteningly realistic. Bass is definitely there but needs a little coaxing.. They are a little light in the bass department from what I've been used to with other loudspeaker manufacturers. Apparently, coming from a Japanese company, they are described as having the "Japanese sound". It's their design. Like I said though, pop in a couple of good pipe organ cd's and you'll be quite impressed with the pedal note rumbles that you receive.. Overall, their sound is completely neutral. Meaning they're going to sound as good as whats being played through them and the equipment they're hooked up to. No colored, boxy, boomy, shrilly sound.. Just sweet, natural music. The way it was meant to be. All in all, these are keepers and if you can find a nice pair used, don't hesitate to get them. They're getting harder and harder to find.

Better than expected..
37 years old and still going strong. Only thing needing to be done was replace the stylus on the cartridge. Everything should be built this well. Couldn't be happier.

Nice Little Robot...
1 of 1 found this helpful This little guy does a great job on my hard floors. I don't have carpets so I wouldn't know how well it does on those. I also have a couple of Roombas' and this one picks up just as much dirt as those two. I love the UV disinfection feature that no other vacuum bot has. I have five cats and three litter boxes. After I vacuum with this bot, you'd never know that I have cats at all. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it runs much slower than the Roombas'. It takes alittle longer to clean rooms.. That's my only gripe. All in all, a great little bot. :-)
