sensitive , but only a one door trap
I bought this trap for chipmunks. Can only be used effectively as a one door trap. Will not fire 100 percent with both doors open. From one side both doors will work and close. From the other side either of the doors will close. Since I can not control which end of the trap the animal will use to enter the trap, I just set one door open on the trap and it works good. I can make it very sensitive to catch mice, rats, chipmunks and even small squirrels. I can now set the bait behind the treadle (pan) toward the closed door and now this trap will fire 100 percent. Very quick closing and very efficient on small rodents. I do not need both doors open and the trap will still catch what ever rodent you are after. Probably works better with one door open even if both doors did work. I am a professional trapper and do animal damage control. Trapper Steve
