Boston Legal - Series 4
The inimitable Denny Crane and Alan Shore are up to their usual tricks in this 4th series of Boston Legal - and they don't disappoint! William Shatner is brilliant as the ageing lawyer with a reputation for never losing but who now finds himself struggling with the onset of Alzheimer's disease. This creates many hillarious situations for his sidekick Alan. James Spader is so unflappable as the deadpan Alan Shore - and due to this he plays the perfect foil for Shatner. A not to be missed TV series. If you liked the wackiness of Ally McBeal (also created by David E. Kelly) but still like thought-provoking legal battles, this is the series for you.

Boston Legal - series 5
I love this series! William Shatner and James Spader are brilliant as two lawyers who, despite their different approaches to life and law, are best friends (and sometimes worst enemies!). The weird and wonderful world of American litigation is the setting for this series - incredibly sensitive legal issues play alongside bizarre and ludicrous cases as the lawyers of Crane, Poole and Schmidt ply their trade with skill, laughter and audacity. Everything about this series is slick, well-constructed and extremely well-scripted. My only problem with series 5 is that it is the final season. I would have loved more of this excellent series.
