Great little cooker!
1 of 1 found this helpful A very handly little cooker this. I've only used it half a dozen times in the couple of weeks since I bought it, but it seems to do everything I want it to. The description says it's "6 Temperature Control", but they don't seem to be preset temperatures, the knob is infinitely adjustable and the markings are just there as a guide, so fine control of the temperature is possible.
There are only two minor downsides to it, firstly although it's pretty easy to clean it would have been even easier if the top of the hob had been smooth instead of grooved like a very coarse gramophone record, and secondly although I've only used it, and cleaned it, half a dozen times, some of the numbers on the control knob are starting to wear off.
Those two minor inconveniences aside, it's a very useful and efficient little cooker, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

Useful gadget, should help me keep my knives sharp - once I've got the hang of using it!

Goodwin good, Walton less so
1 of 1 found this helpful The Battle of Britain is my absolute all-time favourite film, and the music to it is superb - the Luftwaffe March is one of my favourite pieces of music. I first acquired the soundtrack to the film years ago on an LP, and wanted a CD version to play in my car, so I bought this one.
I may be wrong, but I have a suspicion that some of the tracks on this CD are longer that the versions on the LP and in the film, and one or two I didn't recognise at all. However, it's better to have more than you expected than less!
For comparison purposes this CD also includes the score written by Sir William Walton - he was contracted to do it originally, but then they gave the job to Ron Goodwin, though one piece (Battle in the Air) did make it into the film after one of the lead actors threatened to refuse to appear unless some of Walton's music was used. Having heard the rest of Walton's score I'm extremely glad they used Goodwin's version - Walton's music is completely forgettable and would have made the film far less effective and enjoyable.
