Works as expected
3 of 3 found this helpful It works perfectly fine, and it is exactly as advertised. It was easy to install, though I have significant experience. It was also shipped in a timely manner.

Quite good for the price, but still suffers from bloatware and a company that is out of touch with its customers.
It's enough faster than the sub-$100 models to use a lot of the apps those can't. The 2GB of memory also helps there. The battery does not discharge overnight when not in use (like NextBook's do). It lasts several times longer under intensive use than tablets in the $50 to $100 range. And of course, the battery charges very quickly. The image quality is excellent. I've read other reviews comparing it favorably to Apple's Retina screens. While I have little experience with those, I can say that the image quality is extremely good, and the color is quite vivid.
It's not all good though. As usual, the device has a handful of low value apps that cannot be removed. I was able to remove the MS Office products, which other vendors don't allow (and which take up more storage space than most of the other junk), but there are still a few the device is stuck with. In addition, this tablet expects to be used as a phone. If it does not have a SIM card installed, it will harass you about it pretty much forever. Lenovo has shown little interest in providing a solution for those who want just a tablet, not an absurdly oversized phone, and the user community they rely on to give their customers free tech support has not been able to find a solution either, aside from rooting the device (or installing an old SIM card that is no longer being used). While this is all pretty much par for the course, it is still pretty lousy for a company to treat its paying customers this way. I had hoped Lenovo would be better than this, but I'm not terribly surprised that they aren't.
Overall, it is a good product for the price. It's certainly significantly better than the lower end options, by a pretty wide margin. Even with the artificial limitations that waste resources and reduce the value of the device, without helping anyone, it's worth the price.
