DOOM 3, not as good as DOOM II
As a brief note as to why DOOM III was not the pinnacle of the DOOM universe, it is simple. In a word, Plot. In two words, lighting. (I'm not going to say the other word, in case children are reading this. But first, the plot. It had one. Big mistake. Its like having a plot in a Porn movie. The less the better. In the original DOOM, you end up rapelling off Phobos straight into HELL. Now THATS a plot. Its not a big, complicated, rational plot. It's not even possible. But its PERFECT for this kind of game. you start adding a heavy, boring plot to this type of game, and you just drag it down. I could say the same of the movie, which was a weak ALIENS rip-off, but I won't, because this is not a movie review. So don't get me started, Dwayne. And then there was the lighting. It was touted as the most bitchin thing since sliced elves, the realistic rendering blah blah blah. Then when you get the game its' like What lighting effects? there's NO LIGHT! This has to be the darkest game since Clive Barker's UNDYING, which was, of course, a fine, and very creepy game in it's own right. However, That is not what Doom is about. You buy this game expecting something that at least resembles something in the DOOM line, and all you get is a dimly lit, blood soaked, and lightly haunted Black Mesa. Not exactly a thrill ride. But anyway, this is why DOOM III is not the pinnacle of DOOM achievement. TRUE DOOM FANS: DEMAND A NEW SEQUEL! A REAL ONE!

a reeally good all round body language book
I liked this book about body language more than most. First off, it doesn't really preach a point of view as to why body language is what it is. The author just lays it out. This means this, that means that. Of course, she correctly points out that no individual behavior means only one thing, a point some books don't emphasize enough. She also covers involuntary body language, such as flushing, trembling, etc. She presents a good section on facial expressions, bordering on Paul Ekman's FACS. As do most body language authors, Shelly assumes you are reading this book for a reason, and so illustrates behaviors with situations. She does this to good effect. Throughout the book, there are "idiots guide" style notes that do add something to the content. All in all, well written, espeically for those who want a full spectrum of behaviors but don't want to get bogged down in a clinical analysis of human behavior. If I was to only have one body language book in my library, this one would compete for top honors.

a little known great
This might have been the greatest of the Bruce Lee movies, had he lived to make it. The movie has an engaging story line, humor, wisdom, and action. Decidedly low budget, but that does not detract from the movie at all. Nice scenery, interesting locales, and basic good cinematography make up for the lack of car chases and explosions. The bonus material on this edition gives a pretty good background of the principals and their setting. Personally, I didn't find that it enhanced the basic product much, but for fans of the movie, lee, or carradine, the deluxe edition would be a must.
