Lightweight, investment for comfort on a long haul - they really do work!
First experience of noise reducing headphones, but we were embarking on a return trip to Hong Kong (16 hours there / 20 hours back)and couldn't face the noise all that way.
We were not disappointed by the Sony MDR-NC40s. Although on the photos they look like an old fashioned set of large headphones, they are really compact and very soft and comfortable to wear - and not embarrassing at all! They are lightweight, pack up beatifully into their own case and really work!
They really made a big difference on the droning background noise on the plane and even dulled the noise of a grumbling child on the plane. There's a switch so that you can temporarily suspend the noise reduction if someone speaks to you and come with its own two-pin jack converter for the plane. They work as headphones even of the battery for the noise reduction has run down (some don't).
I would really recommend these (paid under £40) as a real investment for comfort, use of the entertainment onboard a plane and also for sleeping on board.

Great size XL Ketter Store from Garden Store Direct
The Ketter Store Max XL (1200l) is perfect for storing loads of garden equipment and furniture. Feels a little flimsy as you're constructing it but is ok once don'e and quite solid when its locked up. It took over an hour to put together (instructions say 25 mins! No way) Bought from Garden Store Direct in January 2024. One part was already damaged when we opened the package but Garden Store Direct immediately sent just the replacement part (one door). I received that within 2 days! Amazing customer service. Advice? Check over the parts before you empty and demolish your shed and allow extra time to construct.
