Not worth the money
When we first bought this car seat, our daughter was 9.7kg and we thought she'd be fine with it. The first time we used it, my partner had to sit in the back holding our daughter's head off the bar. There was no head or neck support at all. She was fine supporting her own head not in the car, but obviously, in the car there's more force, and her head would lunge forward straight into the bar every time I braked. We started to put a blanket by her head on both sides and my partner had to sit in the back every time we went anywhere holding her head until we felt like she was growing into it. There were still times when she was asleep that her face would end up pressed into the bar, and we would struggle to reposition her.
Now, our daughter is over 12kg and the other day, she was making a bit of fuss and we were shocked to see she had pushed the bar up and was sliding down out of the car seat! We thought we must have made a mistake in how we'd loaded her into it, but since then we've been really careful and made sure she was properly positioned and pulled the belt as tight as possible and she can still push her way out.
We finally had enough and bought a 5-point car seat which she can't escape from and it's so much better. We don't feel like we have to be looking over our shoulder every few seconds and worrying that she's not where we left her, and there's nothing for her to squash her face into either. I would not recommend this car seat to anyone, it's been nothing but stress. We bought it because we thought it looked safe and that it must be good for it to be so much money. The new car seat was £50 less, but it's so much safer. I wish we'd never bought this piece of rubbish.
