Clarke CDJ2 Dowelling aluminium Jig Set pre aligned holes, clamps, depth stops

Not great.

It is a good idea but I found it very difficult to get satisfactory results. There is too much slack in the guide holes to ensure that the holes are drilled straight enough for accurate alignment. The 8mm holes seem to have an inherent 1mm error, which I was able to correct with additional spacers. I also found the depth stops tricky to fit straight and securely. I am fairly proficient at DIY but still found lot of care and practice is needed, which somewhat defeats the purpose of a jig.
