Henry Red Allen Ride, Red, Ride - His 44 Finest 1929-1962

A fantastic addition to my collection

I'm a great fan of jazz from this era & Allen was one of the elite. His playing is sensational across all the different groups on these recordings from hot to mellow. A great compilation from the best bands around. If this is your kind of jazz, get it. Double cd, very cheap for content !!

They really do SLAM 💣🔥😎.

Reminiscent of late 50s/early 60s rock'n'roll, becomes a bit tedious towards end, too many tracks sound the same, but earlier tracks are great, A1 pianist & double bass are fabulous. Glad I bought it, this band hails from Essex, UK forget Alabama !!!, Great ts,bs & trumpet gives the boost it needs, recommend if early RNR fan. David.
