Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N5110 16GB, Wi-Fi, 8in - Marble White

Bought brand new in Dec, 2013 - Suddenly died last month - Aug, 2016

I liked this tablet when I first bought it new. As my subject states, this Note 8 suddenly died on me before even 3 years of use. I only use it on my 30 min lunch time to read news articles (like a newspaper). No heavy daily use. The battery has greatly degraded and is not replaceable. After much research on the internet, I found out this is a common occurrence after about 2+ years of use. No hard factory reset or battery replacement will revive the unit. I purchased this new for $290. In addition, in my research, many have said that Samsung wants $100 or more to accept and repair, but customer must also pay shipping both ways. I said "screw it" and bought a new no-name 8" tablet for $80 instead of getting mine repaired. So, BEWARE !!

good for NAS box

I have 4 of these installed in a NAS (network attached storage) box that is connected to my wireless router. This is configured as a RAID storage box. All users have access to select files on this box (provided they have the correct password!) thru the WiFi connection. These drives run 24/7. This is a replacement for a failed drive that had been in use for almost 3 years! Very Reliable!
