Still after an older Denon?
1 of 1 found this helpful Yes, it's older, but older isn't always unworthy. Right? Well, no actually.
If you have a higher end Blu-Ray player with the required decoding and 7.1 analogue outputs, then you'll be just fine.
Let the player decode and pass the signal to the amp, and use the HDMI in/out on the amp just for video.
In case you haven't worked it out yet, the 3806 cannot decode audio via HDMI, so either the analogue route or look elsewhere, it's just that simple.
Personally I used the analogue route, and was perfectly happy.

Still a game changer
All I can say is it's the same PS4...but slimmer.
