Works well, perhaps should have come standard with the camera
This add-on electronic viewfinder clips onto the flash hot shoe of the Nikon 1 v3. it works well, and provides a clear image. The viewfinder is useful for people accustomed to looking through a viewfinder rather than relying on the LCD screen on the back of the camera. It also makes it far easier to see what is being photographed when one is outside in bright sunlight. Finally, for use with long lenses this add-on viewfinder is indispensable, as locating the subject within a narrow field of view is a challenge when using the rear LCD. On the negative side, this item seems needlessly expensive. The previous model of the Nikon 1 featured a built in EVF, hence rendering the camera a far better value than the V3.

Works great
This is way cheaper than the Nikon eyecup and it is more comfortable. It fits well and seems durable. The only small downside is that it becomes slightly harder to mount or dismount a flash, as the eye up sticks up higher than the Nikon replacement. Not a major issue.
