Works like a charm

I've seen gravy separators on the store shelf and always thought I could use one, just never got around to buying one. Solving the Open Pool Leaf Problem

We have an in-ground "open" style pool; meaning without a screened enclosure. Although we live in Florida with few deciduous trees in the neighborhood, we still manage to get our share of leaves and fronds in the pool which are then vacuumed up and captured by the pool pump strainer. The pool pump strainer is smallish in size so the strainer fills quickly and the water flow becomes restricted. We recently purchased the Hayward Leaf Canister which is installed "in-line" on the vacuum hose and "problem solved"! The basket on the leaf canister is of sufficient size to hold a fair amount of debris and easy to open and empty. The leaves never make it to the pump strainer so everything runs more smoothly.
