Small but mighty!
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought these little heaters to replace practically identical Pifco ones that I had before but had loaned them out to a family member who was having a boiler breakdown crisis and I just never got round to getting them back again.
I chose to go for this style of heater again because they are very compact, lightweight and the base stand folds away for easy storage whenever you aren't using them.
The halogen bars provide instant heat whenever you need it and can heat up a full room in no time at all. The instant heat and 400/800W output makes them far more energy efficient and therefore more economical to run. You can run 2 of these heaters on full power and it would still cost considerably less than it would to run a single 2kw panel/convector heater.
They have an anti tip safety pressure button so that the unit only works when placed on a flat, stable surface and will switch off if accidentally knocked over etc. They do radiate a lot of intense heat, which is reflected forward by the reflective panels and is similar to what you would expect from using a fireplace heater. This means that you do have to make sure that the heater is placed in a clear space, far enough back from anything that could overheat and cause a fire hazard.
All in all.. Great for the money and highly recommended
From past experience, I would recommend that you hold on to the cardboard box packaging so that you can store the heaters away again without something accidentally bashing and denting the protective mesh grill part.

Brilliant dect phone!
I bought this to replace my old dect phone and this hasn't disappointed! Great features like caller display, nuisance call blocker, phone book etc and the loudspeaker function is a godsend to have on a landline phone for call queuing etc.. Means you can at least get on with other things while you are stuck on hold. The answering machine messages play out loud via the handset as they are recording which means I can screen messages without having to be near the base unit. Loads of ringtones to choose from, easy to navigate menu/settings, very straightforward to use and looks great too :)
