Not for minilathes without serious modification
I'm sure this is a very good quality tool, as things sold by RDG are, the knurling wheels themselves are crisply machined and the tool finish is of high quality.
However I bought it to use with a mini lathe, knowing from the description that I would have to trim the shank down to fit in my 10mm toolholders. I did this no trouble. However the projection of the tool beyond the shank region meant that, with the cross slide fully retracted and the cut-down shank mounted as far back as possible, the wheels came nearly to the centre of the lathe axis, meaning that only items < approx 2cm diameter could be knurled - my first project was to be a 70mm diameter handwheel.
I may be able to overcome this by adding a dummy toolholder section to the side of the shank to grip, allowing the actual tool to be mounted outside the toolpost and further back but this may not be ideal, stress and rigidity wise.

An excellent, long lasting, fine finish blade.
An excellent, long lasting, fine finish blade. I have been using these IN A STANDARD worxwx426 to cut 19mm TRESPA laboratory worktop which is incredibly tough but this blade cuts it beautifully and leaves a very fine finish. My first blade is starting to get a bit dull (it has cut a lot of TRESPA) so am getting another as backup.Thoroughly recommended.

Brilliant for looking in tiny spaces.
OK, the image quality isn't wonderful, but we needed to check some clearances in a virtually closed machine and its tiny size and LED illumination showed us exactly what we needed to see. For the price it is amazing.
