It works, but not very well
1 of 1 found this helpful Although set up was easy, there weren't any setup instructions at all. It turned out it was plug-and-play. The only instructions included told you how to plug it into your television, which had me doubting its use as a web cam. Once connected, it was detected by Windows 7.
The performance was much lower than expected. Maybe it's the standard Windows drivers, maybe it's the hardware. Since it didn't come with software, I'll likely never know. Even on its maximium resolution, the imsge is grainy and slightly out of focus. And yes, the plastic protective film is off the product. In all honesty, the cameras on my last 2 cell phones (dating back 5 years) had better quality than this. I had almost returned it. If it weren't for the fact that I needed one asap, and everywhere else was sold out, I woukd have.
