Time and paint saving tool
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm always building and painting something I've built for skid loaders or older machinery. Most of these items are small enough that they can be painted with a couple of cans of spray paint but I know that I've never shook a can by hand for the full two minutes most cans call for in the instructions and some paint NEEDS to be shook this long to mix the paint solids properly so they don't plug the spray nozzle. I found the best way to use this tool is to secure my variable speed reciprocating saw to the bench or sawhorse with a tarp strap, install the holder and spray can, then lock the saw's trigger in a very low speed and let it run for a minute or so while I do something else. You DO NOT want to run this tool at a highs speed since nothing will take that kind of abuse and you'll eventually break it. Run it at a reasonable speed - about twice the speed you could shake by hand - and you'll soon have paint that is as well shaken as possible. Good tool at a good price.
