Great book dealing with early history of ghosthunting characters.
Brilliant book as you would expect from the legendary Peter Underwood. Dated but gives a very interesting perspective on the views , techniques and methods that were used before the current wave of "tech" ghost hunters came into the world.
Worth buying for this historical perspective - one can only hope and wonder whether Underwood could do a new version of this book based on todays current leading lights in academic and field based parapsychology / anomalistic psychology.

Yet another classic from Peter Underwood.
Peter Underwood is , frankly , a legend. His unwavering work in the feild of haunting studies and especially his research into cases both historic and modern is staggering. He has wrote at least 20 books on the subject covering Great Britian and Eire and is published even to this day - his latest book being a compainion to the study of Borely Rectory.
His book Guide to Ghosts and haunted places should be on everyones shelf if they are interested in locations of cases , his opinions on theories of what ghosts are and ways to investigate.
In short if you can buy this book then buy it and enjoy! I certainly have.
