Reasonably fast & very sharp
1 of 1 found this helpful This lens replaces my "normal" i.e. 50mm lens and is a great macro, portrait and "normal" lens. Because the front glass surface is recessed in the lens body, it doesn't require a filter for protection, which helps to avoid ghosts & flare in direct sunlight and stray light from artificial light sources. In combination with my fast 35mm f2 Nikkor, this covers 90% of my photos.
