The rubber is very soft.
This is pretty and protective but the rubber is kind of sticky when it touches your temple when on the phone it actually pulls your hair lol.

Best headset ever, excellent sound/voice quality and super comfortable.
These are the best headphones I have ever used in anything I have needed a set for. they are comfortable and clear/ no noise, I love them :). I am upset with Logitech for discontinuing them but am glad to have found them again. Highly recommended, especially to anyone that gets headaches from over the head sets. 3.
